Our central booking office has a wealth of information about the Kafue National Park as well as tourism and development activities in and around the park. Here you can book lodges and other activities - as well as buy produce, arts and crafts produced by local communities in the area.
We sell maps and books as well as a blooming variety of fresh-cut flowers and ready-to-go bouquets. And, beware, you might find it difficult to resist the temptations of our popular coffee shop, The Sitatunga.

Despite extensive poaching, the Kafue National Park remains blessed with a unique diversity of wildlife. Left all but untouched by human development, the Kafue National Park has enormous potential for economic development. Currently, however, tourism is underdeveloped with few lodges and a general lack of infrastructure, but considerable efforts - locally, nationally and internationally - are being made to transform the park into a competitive alternative to other tourist destinations in Africa. In this exiting environment, KNP Promotions seek to assist public, private and community organisations in the Kafue National Park and its surrounding Game Management Areas to improve their operations and to create new opportunities for development. KNP Promotions Ltd. is a private sector initiative, registered as a company limited by guarantee. Its operations are cost-effective and surplus profits are reinvested in tourism and development activities in the target area. KNP Promotions operate from Lusaka and will liaise with other national, regional and international agencies to promote tourism and development activities in our target area.
